Terms of Service
Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and K.J.A & Z.J.O LLC ("we", "us"), publisher of TipLedger, located at 1704 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07305. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms.
2. The service
TipLedger is a web application that calculates and records tip distributions and produces reports for payroll preparation. It is a calculation and record-keeping tool. It does not move money, does not file taxes, and is not a payroll provider or a payment processor.
3. Free trial
Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to begin. We do not bill you automatically at the end of a trial; if you do not subscribe, your account moves to read-only access to your historical data.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on our pricing page and are exclusive of any applicable taxes. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and prior periods are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the sales, tips, hours and rules you enter, for the tip policies you configure, and for compliance with federal, state and local wage and tip laws that apply to your business. You must keep account credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account.
6. Employee data
You may add employees to the service using a display name and PIN. You must not enter Social Security Numbers, bank details, government ID numbers or other sensitive personal information into free-text fields. You confirm you have the right to enter any employee data you provide.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other organizations' data, probe or disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, resell it without written permission, or use it for anything unlawful.
8. Your data
You retain ownership of the data you enter. You grant us the limited right to process it in order to operate the service. You may export your data at any time. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Availability
We work to keep the service available and backed up, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Planned maintenance may cause brief interruptions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or wage claims arising from tip policies you configure.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we are legally required to close, with notice where practicable.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will revise the date above; continued use after a change means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States. Questions: support@tipledgerapp.com.
